Jaxon Liam Boomsma, age 7, of Yankton, South Dakota, died on Friday, April 14, 2017 as a result of a farm accident in Wessington, South Dakota.

Jaxon was born May 5, 2009 in Yankton, South Dakota to Troy and Sarah (Sutherland) Boomsma. Jaxon’s happy-golucky, larger than life, magnetic personality was mirrored by his infectious smile. Jaxon never met a stranger. His loving, sweet, mischievous personality shined through with endless smiles. Jaxon’s comical nature and quick wit lit up the room. When we are filled with laughter, it will be because of Jaxon cracking a joke up in heaven.

Jaxon loved spending time on the farm, helping with chores and riding tractors from sun up to sun down. Jaxon savored the outdoors, from picking dandelions to camping with his family. Jaxon rejoiced in playing with his friends, tag and hide & seek, even when nobody knew they were playing. Jaxon attended 1st grade at Stewart elementary and enjoyed playing football, soccer, and baseball.

Jaxon celebrated cheering at his siblings sporting events. Jaxon is his brother and two sisters’, number one fan.

Jaxon will be forever missed by his parents: Troy and Sarah Boomsma of Yankton; two sisters: Jaiden and Callie; one brother: Carter; his grandparents: John and Mareldine Boomsma and Gary and June Sutherland; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jaxon was preceded in death by his aunt, Gina Sutherland.
