South Dakota State University alumni will host a food drive Saturday in Moody County to benefit the Breadbasket.
The project is part of Jacks Give Back, a day set aside for SDSU alumni everywhere to give back to their local communities.
The drive for healthy food is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Healthy food donation suggestions include fruits and vegetables, proteins such as canned meats and beans, dairy and dairy alternatives, whole grains such as pastas and rice, and healthy fats such as peanut butter. Low sodium options are recommended.
The drive is being organized by SDSY alum and Moody County residents, Jessica Nordquist Lewis and Erica and Matt Knippling.
