A heavily traveled thoroughfare in Moody County is once again open to all traffic. Department of Transportation officials late this past week declared the work on the Christensen Bridge complete and pulled down the barriers that have blocked traffic from the area since mid-April.
The bridge on 478th Avenue, crosses the Big Sioux River between Highway 32 and 223rd Street (Ward Road). Removal of the old structure and the construction of the new bridge were both done by Robert R. Schroeder Construction.
