Ethan Hoffman, a Flandreau senior football player, was recently named to the Class 11B All-State team. Another senior, Kolby Peters, received honorable mention on the All-State team.
The All-State teams are chosen by the South Dakota Football Coaches Association.
Academic All-Staters
Nine area athletes from Colman-Egan and Flandreau High School were named Academic All-State by the South Dakota High School Activities Association.
Receiving the honor from Colman-Egan were Easton Williamson and Ben Zwart, football.
Athletes from Flandreau include Lurick Dailey and Katherine Kulm, cross country and Tison Burggraff, Ethan Hoffman, Gary Moose, Kolby Peters and Caleb Pitsenberger in football.
Volleyball is announced in January.
To receive the honor an athlete must be a senior with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have played their respective sport for at least three years.
