Hawks win inaugural cross county games

The Flandreau and Colman-Egan softball teams played a doubleheader with each other on Thursday and Colman-Egan swept it with a 10-7 victory and a 9-6 win.
Flandreau is now 6-9 and played host to Beresford at home on Monday and hosts Lennox on Tuesday. Colman-Egan is 3-5 and plays at Arlington on Tuesday and at Hanson on Friday.

Colman-Egan 10, Flandreau 7

Colman-Egan jumped out to a 3-0 lead and Flandreau fought back to take a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning. The Hawks then responded with four runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth to take a 9-4 lead. They added one more run in the top of the seventh and Flandreau scored three runs in the bottom of the inning but was unable to complete the comeback.
Kaitlyn Taggart went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Emma Brewer went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Colman-Egan. Lanie Mousel went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Paisley Rentschler and Ava Mousel each went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
Addy Hammer went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Lizzie Pavlis went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Layla Latterall went 1-for-1 with an RBI and Julie Pitsenberger went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Olivia Peters went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Colman-Egan 9, Flandreau 6
Flandreau led 5-4 after three innings and Colman-Egan then struck for five runs in the fourth inning and that earned the Hawks the victory.
The Hawks were led by Grace Quick who went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Harper Mousel was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Savanna Schmidt was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Joselyn Keyes went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Tricia Roy and Abby Schoeberl each went 1-for-2 with an RBI for Flandreau. Addy Hammer went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
