COLMAN – Dalton Voelker posted a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds as Colman-Egan used a fast start to beat Elkton-Lake Benton 59-45 in a Dakota Valley Conference boys’ basketball game Tuesday.
The Hawks led 23-9 after a quarter, 36-21 at halftime and 47-32 through three.
Keith Crisp added 15 points, two rebounds, two steals and a pair of blocks.
Kade Groos dropped in 14 points to go with seven boards and three assists. Bodee Groos contributed five points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists.
The Elks’ Dylan Kuehl had nine points, Grant DeRuyter and Billy Stuefen eight apiece, Devin Sopko six and Matthew Nibbe five.
Colman-Egan (2-1, 2-1) plays at West Central on Thursday, Dec. 28.
