Hawks named to Dakota Valley Conference teams

Colman-Egan’s Brynlee Landis was named to the 2nd Team Dakota Valley All-Conference Girls Team and Lanie Mousel was named to the 3rd team.
The Most Valuable DVC Girls Player was DRSM’s Ella Griffin and Tyler Snaza of Castlewood and Ed Gustafson of DRSM were Co-Coaches of the Year.
Arlington won the conference title with an 8-1 record followed by Castlewood at 7-2, Dell Rapid St Mary and Deubrook Area at 6-3, Colman-Egan, DeSmet and Elkton Lake Benton all at 5-4, Estelline/Hendricks with a 2-7 and Oldham-Ramona/Rutland and Iroquois/Lake Preston coming in at 1-8 and 0-9 respectively.


On the boys’ side, Colman-Egan’s Jackson Zwart was named to the 3rd team and Jase Mousel received Honorable Mention.
DeSmet won the DVC title with a 9-0 record, DRSM was second with 8-1. They were followed by Castlewood, 7-2, Estelline/Hendricks and Iroquois/Lake Preston both at 5-4, Deubrook Area at 4-5, Colman-Egan and Elkton-Lake Benton both finished 3-6, Arlington 1-8 and Oldham-Ramona/Rutland was 0-9.
Most Valuable Boys Player was Damon Wilkinson of DeSmet and his coach Jeff Gruenhagen was Coach of the Year.
