Hawks make clean sweep of Baltic Bulldogs

BALTIC – The Colman-Egan basketball teams swept Baltic on Monday, with the boys winning 61-41 and the girls prevailing by a 53-40 margin.

Boys
Nate Tolley poured in 31 points and Dalton Voelker recorded a big double-double to pace the Hawks.
Tolley went 11-of-19 from the field, including 7-of-13 from 3-point range. He added seven rebounds.
Voelker scored 20 points and grabbed 18 boards.
“The boys came out really strong and moved the ball better than we had all year,” said Coach Scott Hemmer.

“We were able to jump out to an early lead and maintain it through the game.  Everyone played toughed and we limited Baltic to only one shot most of the first half.”
Colman-Egan raced out to a 26-7 lead after a quarter and was ahead 48-18 at halftime.
Chase Hemmer added six points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
Baltic’s Zach Polzin scored 11 points.
 
Girls
The Hawks built a 19-9 lead after a quarter en route to the win.
They were up 29-16 at halftime and 40-23 through three.
Mackenzie Hemmer had 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Josie Mousel scored 14 points off the bench. Braiden Westley added nine markers.
Madison Voelker came up with five of Colman-Egan’s 20 steals, while Katie Hannasch and Elizabeth Moore both added four.
The Hawks committed just 11 turnovers and forced 25.
The Lady Bulldogs’ Cami Artz scored 12 points and Sami Polzin 11.
