Hawks, Fliers at Pat Gilligan Alumni meet


ESTELLINE – The Colman-Egan girls won the 20-team Pat Gilligan Alumni Invitational on Tuesday, totaling 129.5 team points. Flandreau tied for eighth at 37.
On the boys’ side, the Hawks (45) were ninth and the Fliers (39) 11th out of 19 teams.

Girls
The Hawks won eight events, including a trio of relays.
Olivia Baumberger, Elizabeth Moore, Daniela Lee and Josie Mousel placed first in the 4x100-meter relay in 51.89 seconds and also took the 4x200 title with a 1:49.84 clocking.
Baumberger, Lee, Elaina Rhode and Brynlee Landis crossed first in the medley in 4:42.8.
Hemmer won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.44. She added runner-up finishes in the 300 hurdles (51.16) and triple jump (33 feet, 8 inches).
Mousel won the 200 in 26.38 and tied for third in the high jump after clearing 5 feet.
Lee raced to a victory in the 100 in 12.55 seconds.
Baumberger’s mark of 17-8 3/4 was tops in the long jump.
Reese Luze won the 300 hurdles in 49.53.
Presley Luze, Abby Rhode, Elaina Rhode and Reeze Luze were second in the 4x800 in 10:53.64.
Lanie Mousel was fifth in the 200 (28.83) and eighth in the triple jump (30-6 3/4).
Moore placed fifth in the 100 (13.34).
Presley Luze, Hemmer, Landis and Reese Luze took fifth in the 4x400 in 4:31.72.
Abby Rhode was sixth in the 800 (2:52.5). Landis ended up seventh in the high jump (4-8). Elaina Rhode took eighth in both the 400 (1:09.12) and high jump (4-6).
Flandreau’s Faith Wiese won the 3,200 meters with a time of 12:09.
Wiese, Maria Parsley, Lily Klein and Libby Hursey took first in the 4x800 in 10:38.22.
Claire Sheppard, Parsley, Klein and Isabella Pavlis took third in the 4x400 in 4:30.36
Sheppard was fourth in the 200 (28.49).

Boys
Colman-Egan’s Ryan Voelker won the 110 hurdles (15.73) and was runner-up in the 300 hurdles (43.77).
Ryan Voelker, Christopher Lee, Weston Miles and Easton Williamson were second in the 4x200 (1:38.05) and third in the 4x100 (47.51).
Austin Gullickson placed third in the 110 hurdles (17.66). Williamson was fifth in the 800 (2:19.67).
Flandreau’s Alex Anderson, Ethan Hoffman, Tathan Headrick and Sam Gassman placed second in the medley relay with a time of 4:06.01.
Austin Kulm, Liam Streitz, Tanner Reed and Sam Gassman took third in the 4x800 in 9:20.68.
Streitz, Headrick, Hoffman and Bradon Weber were fourth in the 4x200 (1:40.18). Headrick, Streitz, Lalo Montoya and Gassman matched that finish in the 4x400 (3:50.51).
Streitz cleared 8 feet for fourth place in the pole vault.
