B Zwart will represent the boys

DE SMET – The Colman-Egan girls won the team title at Region 2B Cross Country Meet on Wednesday and will head to the state meet this Satruday in Huron.Ben Zwart was the one qualifier on the boys’s team.
The Hawks totaled 16 team points. Howard was second at 28.
Colman-Egan put three runners in the top nine.
Reese Luze led the way, taking fourth in 21:36.68.

Abby Rhode (21:39.32) was sixth and Presley Luze (22:05.82) ninth to complete the team tally.
Also for the Hawks, Jordan Wittrock (24:08.69) finished 34th and Ava Mousel (24:53.66) 38th.
Gayville-Volin’s Madison Fairley placed first in the 5K in 18:48.87.
Boys
Zwart was the final qualifier in the field of 48, taking 20th in the 5K with a time of 20:00.23.
The Class B State Cross Country Meet is Saturday, Oct. 26, at Broadland Creek in Huron.
