MADISON – The Colman-Egan boys and Flandreau girls both took second at the Chester Invitational on Tuesday at The Lakes Golf Course.
Boys
Howard (259) edged Colman-Egan (262) for the championship. Chester Area (269) was third.
The Tigers’ Ethan Cross shot 79 to claim medalist honors.
Flandreau’s Dawson Blum was runner-up following an 81, while Chester’s Cole Thielbar (82) and Cole Pry (85) were third and fourth, respectively. Deuel’s Preston Homan (85) rounded out the top five.
For the Hawks, Kade Groos (87) took seventh, Mason Hemmer (87) eighth and Bodee Groos (88) ninth.
Rounding out Howard’s team score, Noah Anderson shot 93.
Also for Colman, Chandler Gullickson shot 101 and Nate Tolley, who was competing unattached, carded a 96.
The Fliers’ Devon Burggraff shot 102.
Girls
The Tigers shot 288 to win the team title, with the Fliers (298) taking second and Deubrook Area (299) third.
Howard’s Jordan Glanzer won the individual championship with an 86. Baltic’s Chantel Brende (94) was runner-up.
Flandreau’s Destiny Nelson (95) and Deubrook’s Courtni Frank (96) finished third and fourth, respectively. Howard’s Maddie Palmquist (96) ended up fifth.
Flandreau’s Grace Johanson (98) placed sixth and Keva Burshiem added a 105 to complete the team tally. Also for the Fliers, Alaina Cloud shot 117.
