Harriet Coralann Timmerman, 83, Colman, SD, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Dells Nursing and Rehab Center, Dell Rapids.
Harriet was born in Wadena, MN on April 12, 1937, to Edward and Florence (Seely) Smith. She grew up in Tracy, MN and graduated from Tracy High School. Harriet married Rodney Timmerman on October 3, 1958 at the Tracy United Methodist Church. During their time in Tracy, Harriet worked as a home health aide, while Rodney farmed. The couple moved to Colman in 1983. Harriet cleaned houses and was active in the Colman Methodist Church. Harriet had a deep appreciation for the arts. She loved to draw, sing, and play guitar. She also enjoyed theatre, acting in several community plays. Harriet will be remembered for her kind, loving heart, and her affection for animals.
Harriet is survived by her husband, Rodney Timmerman, Colman; her children: David (Barbara) Timmerman, Sioux Falls; and Kathy Benson (significant other, Mike Rose), Tracy, MN; two grandchildren and their families: Tara Timmerman (significant other, Chase Schraeder) and daughter, Alivyah, Sioux Falls; and Tyler (Jessica) Timmerman and their daughter, Paityn, Sioux Falls; siblings: Pat (Wes) Radke, Tracy, MN; and Frank (Diane) Smith, Tracy, MN; and one sister-in-law, Arlys, South San Jose, CA.
Harriet was also survived by a son, Roger Timmerman of Sioux Falls, who passed away on November 29, 2020.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Florence, an infant son, Ricky, and a sister-in-law, Marjorie.
Funeral Services are pending with Skroch Funeral Chapel, Colman.
