COLMAN – Dalton Voelker and Bodee Groos – who scored his 1,000th career point – both posted a double-double as the Hawks beat De Smet 57-37 in a Dakota Valley Conference boys’ basketball game Friday.
Voelker had 21 points and 11 rebounds to go with three assists.
Groos totaled 12 points and 10 boards.
Keith Crisp chipped in with eight markers and eight rebounds. Kade Groos had seven points and four dimes.
Colman-Egan led 14-9 after a quarter, 28-14 at halftime and 43-21 through three.
De Smet’s Gage Gruenhagen scored a game-high 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting.
COLMAN – Bridgewater-Emery beat Colman-Egan 74-53 in a non-conference boys’ basketball game Saturday.
Bodee Groos totaled 20 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists for the Hawks, who led 18-17 after a quarter. Dalton Voelker added 10 markers.
The Huskies (6-2) got 22 points from Jamin Arend. Sawye Schultz and Carter Dye both added 16 points and eight boards. Duot VanSickle chipped in with 12 points.
Colman-Egan visits Estelline on Friday.
