Girls win both conference titles

The Flandreau girls cross country team won both the Lake Central Conference meet (9 points) and the Big East Conference meet (38 points) last week and the boys won the BEC (39 points) and were second in the LCC with 16 points.
LCC meet
At the LCC meet, Faith Wiese was medalist with a time of 20:00.85 followed by teammate Libby Hursey with a time of 21:3719. Lily Klein came in sixth (22:14.44) to round out the team scoring.
For the Flier boys, Austin Kulm was the first Flier in the chute with a third place time of 18:59.90 with Lurick Dailey next in seventh, 19:39.84. Tanner Reed followed in eighth, 19:52.98.
BEC meet
In the BEC meet , Wiese won the girls 5K by over a minute’s time, 19:36.71. Next was Klein in 7th, 21:11.33 and Josie Hamilton in eighth, 21:30.76.
For the boys’ team, Kulm came in seventh, 17;59.83 and Reed was 10th with a time of 18:40.12. Liam Streitz followed in 11th with a time of 18:47.34.
