FLANDREAU – Madison edged the Fliers 74-73 in a nonconference boys’ basketball game Friday.
Keaton Nighbert led a balanced Bulldog attack with 20 points. Doyle Brown had 15 points and Cody Brown and Caileb Reilly both added 11.
“Madison’s 29 points in the 2nd quarter really put us in a hole,” said Flier coach Brendan Sheppard.

Flandreau’s Tash Lunday scored a game-high 28 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Connor LeBrun contributed 23 points and three boards.
Nate Kneebone totaled 10 points, seven boards and four assists. Jevan Moran added eight points and five dimes.
“I was happy with how the team kept grinding and gave themselves a chance to win. We are improving in different aspects of the game and just need to start putting together some complete games. Defensive lapses and untimely turnovers have been costly to us,” added Sheppard.
Both teams return to action Tuesday, with Flandreau (4-5) traveling to Deuel .
