Deubrook Area dropped a set, but bounced back to dominate in the final two sets in the Region 2A Quarterfinals Tuesday night. The Dolphins won a close first set 25-23 before Flandreau won the second set 25-16. They then defeated the Fliers in the final two sets with a 25-10 win in set three and 25-9 victory in set four.
Bella Pavlis led the Fliers with 13 digs, 12 assists and eight kills. Maria Parsley had 16 digs and Claire Sheppard had nine kills. Abby Schoeberl had 18 assists and two service aces.
The Flier loss closes the books on the volleyball season. They ended with a 6-21 record.
Seniors playing their final contest were Bella Pavlis and Maria Parsley.
