Flier invite held at Edgebrook

BROOKINGS – Chester Area and Hanson won the Flandreau Invite at Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings on Tuesday.
The Flyer girls came in first place with a team score of 250. Sioux Valley finished in second (302) and Garretson came in third (305). Estelline/Hendricks came in fourth (311) and Dell Rapids St. Mary rounded out the team results on the girls’ side (348). Colman-Egan, Flandreau, Elkton-Lake Benton and Baltic all participated but did not have enough golfers to receive team scores.
The Flyers had the top two finishers individually as Jadyn McDonald came in first with an 80 and Ayla McDonald came in second with an 81.

Colman-Egan’s Berkley Groos came in third with an 86.
Savanna Schmidt was the other golfer for Colman-Egan and she came in 12th with a 101. Flandreau had two golfers and Madison Bushkofsky tied for 10th with a 98 and Clara Kelm came in 26th with a 132.
The Hanson boys came in first with a score of 235. Colman-Egan came in second (245) and Dell Rapids St. Mary finished in third (266). Chester Area took fourth (276) and Baltic came in fifth (284). Estelline/Hendricks finished in sixth (288) and Elkton-Lake Benton came in seventh (293).
The Beavers had the top two finishers individually as AJ Wilber took first with a 76 and Ben Wilber shot a 77 and came in second. Colman-Egan’s Taylor Kriech came in third (78) and Dell Rapids St. Mary’s Trevon Beckman, C-E’s Camden Schmidt and Hanson’s Keenan Waldera tied for fourth (82).
Colman-Egan’s Sawyer Uhing came in ninth with an 85. Jack Whitehouse tied for 17th with a 96.
