CHESTER – Chester Area defeated Parker, 3-2, to win the Big East Conference Tournament while Sioux Valley downed McCook Central/ Montrose, 3-2, to place third.
Baltic took fifth with a 3-1 win over Howard as Flandreau captured seventh with a 3-1 win over Garretson.

The Fliers dropped the first set, 25-19, but then won three straight – 25-16, 25-22 and 25-10 – to take seventh.
Brooke Iott’s six kills led the offense for Flandreau as Mara Lunday and Marianna Pavlis each had five. Lunday finished with seven blocks and Pavlis had five as Anna Gassman led the defense with 18 digs.
Jaycie Pulscher finished with 20 set assists to go along with four ace serves while Rylee Iott chipped in with three aces.
The two teams square off on Tuesday in Garretson.
FLANDREAU – Hamlin swept the Fliers in a Lake Central Conference volleyball match Thursday, August 31.
Brooke Iott had eight kills and Makenzey Burggraff added seven to pace Flandreau.
Jaycie Pulscher dished out 17 set assists and have four aces. Marianna Pavlis recorded three blocks and Iott had two.
Hamlin’s Lexi Wadsworth posted five kills and four blocks. Jayme Juntunen had four kills and three aces. Ashyun Abraham came up with 19 digs.
Flandreau is host to Parker in the first round of the Big East Conference Tournament on Thursday.
