GARRETSON – The Flandreau girls placed second and the boys were sixth at the Jesse James Invitational on Tuesday at River Ridge.
Lennox won the team title with 31 team points, while Flandreau (53) was second and Deubrook Area (55) third.
The Dolphins’ Josie Olsen was medalist in the 5K with a time of 19 minutes, 45 seconds.
Madeline Hursey paced the Fliers, finishing as runner-up with a 20:11 clocking.
Elizabeth Hursey (21:40) and Hannah Parsley (21:44) were 14th and 15th, respectively. Kathryn Parsley took 30th in 23:05 to round out the team tally.
Also for Flandreau, Reese Olinger (23:39) was 36th and Cassidy Keith (25:23) took 44th.
Colman-Egan’s Reese Luze was 19th in 22:14. Jordan Wittrock (25:24) finished 45th and Olivia Moore (33:42) was 54th.
Beresford (28) and Lennox (31) finished 1-2 in the team standings. Flandreau was sixth with 116 team points.
The Watchdogs’ Alec Atwood finished the 5K trek in 16:42 to take home the first-place hardware.
Gabe Hobbie led the Fliers with a 23rd-place finish in 19:18. Devon Burggraff was 25th with a time of 19:23.
Ben Hobbie (20:02) took 37th and Josh Henderson (21:28) finished 52nd.
The Hawks’ Riley Blissmer (23:21 was 61st.
The Flandreau girls took fifth in the team standings as Teiloni Hardy led the way by taking 16th in 19:32. Whitley Olinger (20:30) and Tishara Hardy (20:31) were 34th and 35th, respectively. Maria Parsley (20:49) ended up 38th.
Ava Mousel led the Hawks in the 4K, taking 13th in 19:26.
On the boys’ side, Flandreau took second in the team race.
Austin Kulm took fourth, Joe Kohl sixth, Liam Streitz 16th and Lars Dailey 19th. No times were available in the boys’ JV race.
