The Flandreau FFA held a pedal tractor parade Feb. 21 as part of a week of activities to highlight FFA Week. Sophomore Madison Kontz, above at right, pedaled a John Deere combine pulling a trailer of toy tractors. Junior Elle Thompson carried her four-month-old pot bellied pig, Peaches, in the parade as the unofficial student council mascot. Eleven pedal tractors and dozens of students from different school organizations and classes in the middle school and high school participated in the parade while students lined hallways to watch and to catch candy that some handed out.
