Ladies, are you looking to become more savvy with your finances or are you even thinking of starting a new business?
Some statistics that might encourage you - 40% of US businesses are women-owned. In fact, women started 1,821 net new businesses every day last year and there are 114% more women entrepreneurs than there were 20 years ago. Yet, female entrepreneurs ask for roughly $35,000 less in business financing than men.
Financing is often one of the biggest hurdles female entrepreneurs feel they face in starting or growing a business. It is why the Flandreau Development Corporation is excited to have Certified Financial Planner, Christina Lynn, of Kahler Financial Group, speak at our next in-person workshop on Wednesday, April 14.
Lynn will talk about the most common mistakes to avoid for women in business, a money check-list for women in business, and five steps to implement an effective method for leveling up with your money.
All are welcome despite the event being targeted to women. It is free for FDC member businesses, $10 for non-members. The Flandreau Bistro & Roasterie is the host site and the event begins at 5pm. Find more information on Flandreau, SoDak’s Facebook page.
