ngen, 70, of Trent, SD passed away at her home under hospice care on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
Eunice was born February 5, 1950 at Tracy, MN to Morgan and Orpha (Opheim) Johnson. She received her education in Tracy, graduating in 1968. Eunice married David Engen on April 26, 1969 at Garvin, MN and they lived in different places the four years he was in the military. She worked as a business office manager at the Tracy Hospital until 1997 when she was transferred to Sanford USD Medical Center. Eunice retired in 1999 and after getting her real estate license she sold real estate until 2016. They moved to an acreage east of Trent in 2015. Eunice was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and was currently the president of the church council. She enjoyed quilting, making lefse, travel, sun and sand and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Eunice is survived by her husband: David; two daughters: Sara (Kurt) Soupir, Milroy, MN and Lisa (Craig) Soupir, Mankato, MN; eight grandchildren: Alex, Brittany (Austin), Derek, Devin, Mara (Erik), Taylor, Matthew, Thomas; her sister: Eileen (Dennis) Sparks, San Diego, CA and brother: Vernon (Lorri) Johnson, Staples, MN.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Duane Christian, sister Ruby and infant sister Phyllis.
A private family service will be held.
