Eldon B. Anderson, age 77, Flandreau, passed away, Friday, April 7, 2017 at Avera Flandreau Hospital.
Eldon was born June 15, 1939 at Marshall, MN to Orval and Florence (Larson) Anderson. He started his education at Marshall and graduated from Granite Falls High School. Eldon enlisted in the U.S. Marines and after his discharge he graduated with an economics degree from the University of Dominguez Hills, Carson, CA. He married Linda Baldwin in southern CA and he worked for Hughes Aircraft Co. for many years until retiring in 1997. Eldon then spent his time between Flandreau, SD and Apache Junction, AZ. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, watching Jeopardy, socializing, and especially spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Eldon is survived by his children: Maria (Lupe Ramirez) Anderson, Pasadena, CA, Adam Anderson, Flandreau, Eric (Carla) Anderson, Apache Junction, AZ and Gary Anderson, Camden, TN; 10 grandchildren: Jesse, Miguel, Max, Theresa, Mark, Elizabeth, Emily, Hannah, Ausalena, Quinlyn; one sister: Patricia Elwood, Mankato, MN and a special friend Dick Grafing, Flandreau.
Eldon was preceded in death by his wife Linda, daughter-in-law Toni, his parents, sister Janice, brother Keith, and beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with the family present one hour prior to the service.
