Dean R. Renville, 55, of Flandreau, SD, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD.
Dean was born December 21, 1963 in Sisseton, SD to Darrel and Belva (LaFromboise) Renville. He received his education in Veblen, SD where he graduated from high school. Dean went to Lake Area Vo-tech in Watertown, SD. He lived in St. Paul, MN where he started his roofing career. Dean moved to Flandreau, SD in 1999 and worked as a roofer and general contractor. He then went to work for the FSST maintenance department. Dean met Jessica Hasvold and they started their family in 1999 and were married June 21, 2006 in Flandreau. He excelled as a pool player, enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, socializing with people and helping people.
Dean is survived by his wife: Jessica; three children: Coby, Christian and Collin, all of Flandreau; his mother: Belva and stepfather Melvin, Flandreau; two brothers: Will Renville, Rapid City, SD and Garret Renville, Flandreau; one sister: Kristi Renville, Sioux Falls; and nieces and nephews.
Dean was preceded in death by a son, Randall, his father, Darrel “Toad” Renville, a nephew, Darias Tiger and grandparents, Willard Sr. and Valeska LaFromboise.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Eastman Hall, Flandreau with visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
