Daniel Lee Odegaard, 57, of Flandreau, SD, passed away April 19, 2017, at his home in Flandreau.
Daniel was born December 4, 1959 in Fargo, ND to Gerald and Harriet (Ostern) Odegaard. He received his education at a Richland County country school and Wyndmere High School. Daniel worked as a roofer in Fargo and in Sioux Falls. He moved to Flandreau in 1996. Daniel married Jenny Orbeta on May 28, 2003 in Flandreau. He became disabled in 2010 due to West Nile disease. Daniel was a member of the Rescue Church where he did custodial work. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, music, and his cat Duran.
Daniel is survived by his wife Jenny, daughter Chelsea, from a previous marriage, and his mother Harriet. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, brother James, and grandparents, John and Christine Odegaard and John and Olda Ostern.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. at Skroch Funeral Chapel with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. www.skrochfc.com
