Moody County has had only a few new cases of COVID-19 in the past week.
The number of cases in the county was at 630 Monday, according to the state, compared to 626 cases reported in the past 10 days. Of those cases, three remained active and 610 have recovered. A total of 1,844 people have had negative tests, 51 have been hospitalized and 17 have died.
The county’s vaccination numbers have increased to 2,876 doses spread among 1,725 people. Of those residents, 574 have had one shot, while 1,151 people have completed two doses.
The numbers don’t include the vaccinations given at the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe clinic because those shots are provided by the federal Indian Health Services.
