Boys & Girls Club of Moody County to host 9th triathlon

It’s that time of year again for the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County to host their annual triathlon. This is the 9th year of the triathlon in Flandreau. The triathlon is under one of the Boys & Girls Club priority outcomes, Healthy Lifestyles.
Last year at the Club, over 200 participated in Healthy Lifestyle programs and activities. These programs and activities include; the annual Triathlon, Clubs Against Tobacco, Culinary Arts, and Team Sports. Because of community support, youth at the Club have the opportunity to stay healthy after school and in the summer at the Club!
The triathlon is separated by age groups; 5-8, 9-11, 12-14. Youth do not need to be members of Boys & Girls Club to participate. The event will take place on August 10, 2018 with registration starting at 9 AM at the Flandreau Aquatic Center. At 9:30 AM youth will start the swim portion then continue with biking and running a course throughout the city of Flandreau.  The event will end at the Flandreau Aquatic Center with awards and lunch to follow at the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County.
