Bistro drive-thru open for business

The Flandreau Bistro & Roasterie opened for business Monday serving locally-sourced coffee through its drive-thru with plans to eventually roast beans on location.
The new business at 108 N. Wind St. will open its inside seating as soon as last-minute details are finished. The Bistro also will add a simple menu around Nov. 1.
Owner Jessica Hovland and her family have updated the space, which formerly was Pizza Ranch.
Hovland, who is the sole proprietor of the business under the LLC Pangica – a Dakota word for “awesome” – will turn over management and roasting to her husband Hovaka Bosin, Sr. She will continue to work at her job with the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe and help with the family business on weekends.
