A marble bench that was recently installed at the veteran’s memorial on the grounds of the Moody County Courthouse will be dedicated on September 15 at 6 p.m.
The bench is one of four installed so far in South Dakota by an organization called Rolling Thunder, Inc., South Dakota Chapter 2, that is located out of Brookings, S.D.
Roger Hansen, a chapter representative, will be on hand to tell about the project and the ongoing effort of to place benches and to bring awareness to the military members that remain listed as POW or MIA.
The public is encouraged to attend the dedication.
