MADISON – Madison was able to do just enough in the second half on Thursday night to get the 52-47 win over the Fliers.
“We gave a good effort versus Madison,” said Coach Sheppard.
“We just didn’t shoot well enough from 3.  We had too many turnovers that led to easy transition baskets for them.  Our halfcourt defense was very good again.”
The Fliers shot a cool 32 per cent from beyond the arc. and 35 per cent overall.

Flandreau led 10-7 at the end of the first quarter but Madison outscored the Fliers by three in the second quarter and the score was 23-23 at halftime. The Bulldogs then took a 40-37 lead into the fourth and hung on for the win.
