The Colman-Egan Hawks boys basketball team picked up two wins as the season begins to wind down and raised their record to 8-10.
Due to an Enterprise early deadline, Friday’s game stats with Canistota was unavailable this week. They also were to play Sioux Falls Lutheran on Monday in the final regular season game. Regional actions begins on February 26.

Colman-Egan 71, Iroquois/Lake Preston 49
LAKE PRESTON – Jase Mousel’s 43 points led the Hawks their third-straight victory. CE led 21-14 at the end of the first quarter and dumped in another 21 points in the second quarter to extend its lead to 42-32 at halftime. The Hawks then increased the lead to 60-41 at the end of the third and were able to cruise to the victory.

Jack Mousel had 15 points for the Hawks. Josh McMasters led the Sharks with 16 points. Ryne Green had eight points, Lucas Peskey had seven points and Daunte Glanzer had six points.

Colman-Egan 83, Mitchell Christian 68
COLMAN – The Hawks led 19-18 at the end of the first quarter and went into halftime with a 38-29 lead. C-E extended its lead to 60-43 at the end of the third quarter before Mitchell Christian won the fourth quarter 25-23.
The Hawks had four players in double figures including Jackson Zwart who had a team-high 25 points to go with 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. Zwart was hot handed going 10 of 13 from the field.

Jase Mousel had 20 points and six assists while Taylor Kriech had 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal and Jack Mousel had 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jackson Wright had eight points and eight boards.
Aiden Lieber led Mitchell Christian and all scorers with 50 of the 68 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists. Luke Mentele also had 12 points, two assists, two rebounds and two steals.
C-E shot 58 percent in the game including 8-for-23 (34.8%) on 3-pointers. The Hawks made 5-of-9 (62.5%) free throws, committed 16 turnovers and out-rebounded Mitchell Christian 35-22.
The Hawks improved to 8-10 with the win and will host Canistota on Friday night.
